Santiago Scalabroni CeballosSantiago is from La Cumbre, Cordoba, Argentina. He was born in 1949.

In 1970 he moved to Buenos Aires where he studied Arts at the Instituto de Arte (IDA). In 1971 he started his career publishing his drawings in children’s magazines at the Editorial Garcia Ferre. In 1974 he moved to Spain, where he lived for fourteen years, and carried on with the same kind of work, this time at the Editorial Bruguera.

In 1977 he joined the Danish company, Egmont Publishing Service, and produced comics at an international level, working with other companies in Germany, Mexico and the U.S.A. at the same time.
From 1976 to 1977 he studied modelling and painting under Rosa Martinez and García Morales at the Escuela de Artes y Oficios in Barcelona. From 1977 to 1979 he got in touch with the Circulo Artistico San Lluc in Barcelona.

In 1983 he moved to Paris where he studied Byzantine iconography under George Drobot, the official iconographer of the Russian Orthodox Church, at the Maison des Ateliers.
In 1985 he returned to Spain and joined the Circulo de Bellas Artes in Palma de Mallorca where he stayed for five years. On the instigation of Maestro Jose Maria de Labra he became passionately involved in the geometrical concept of plastics arts.

In 1991 he became involved with Uruguayan painters, the disciples of Joaquin Torres Garcia. From this moment onwards constructivism was to become an important influence in all his pictorial work. This is still evident today in his work on new techniques and materials.
In 1992 he moved to Athens where he carried out further studies into techniques, this time on icons.

As of 2003 he has been living among the Village of Andratx , Mallorca , Spain, Athens, Greece and La Cumbre, Cordoba, Argentina.
